Yeah I was just about to post that...I can't believe this...so it's official and now we have to literally wait YEARS...that means ALL of Phase 5 will have NO connection to Doom...no Latveria no Doom no nothing...we have to wait until 2025 for MAYBE a crumb...Marvel is driving me nuts...Doom should have been introduced the minute they got the rights back and built him up over Phases 4 thru 6...but now MAYBE Phase 6...then Doom gets overlooked with Magneto and the Mutant villains...maybe Galactus...My gut tells me he is going to not get his own saga or anything of true importance...this has also officially opened my eyes about not trusting online sources ever again

They'll probably turn Doom into Electro again, and he'll walk around without a mask with an unscarred face, or have one insignificant scar. The FF will be just another Marvel/Disney movie, no more or less important than the rest of them.

Well I'm pretty down about it too...not sure how bad they will mess it up but I just get the vibe they made Thanos badass..they will probably make Kang great (he looks like his comic counterpart for sure) but I feel like thr good doctor will fail...it's just my gut feeling

i am pretty optimistic.

i would rather von Bardas appear than Doom - it slowly sets up and builds up his reputation.
They depicted Loki, Kingpin, Thanos, and Kang incredibly well. These are THE big baddies in the MCU and their track record shows consistent excellence that meets or exceeds the fan’s expectations.

Yes lesser villains such as the Thor ones were executed poorly and to some degree Whiplash and Mandarin (initially) in IM3.

I trust Feige with F4 and Doom. I think it is easy to let our impatience affect our feelings towards this franchise. Admittedly they have mishandled Phase 4 and it has been probably the worst of the phases.

But they have a lot on their plate and should probably dial back on their schedule and take their time - this is what we see is happening as they ate forced to delay projects from their original release dates. These are good delays. A rushed bad movie is bad forever, a delayed good movie is worth the wait.

I think this may be the silver lining on this cloud.

If they’re not as far along with Doom as rumors suggested, then annoying rumors, like him being Spanish, likely aren’t true either.

Wherever Doom appears, it can't be all that long before we get a look at him at least. Gonna be an epic moment, hopefully free of all trash can mentions. Doom is likely going to be around in the MCU longer term than someone like Kang IMO.

Now that Marvel has disappointed us in no Doom in WF and with the prospect of them probably waiting 2 more years for his "potential" arrival in the Fantastic 4 film or around that time, I guess the time has come to see if we should be begging for scraps...in other words, at this time, the MCU doesn't acknowledge Doom or Latveria at all. Yes, the producers confirmed that it was Doom's time platform in Multiverse of Madness that Richards came out of but the general public doesn't have a clue about that.

We also suspect that it was Doomstadt that Marc Spector landed in the first episode of Moon Knight but no confirmation there either.

So my question to everyone...since it literally takes no budget, no money, no efx, no nothing to simply name drop the word LATVERIA, do we honestly think in the entirety of Phase 5 (both film and tv), that we will FINALLY hear that word? I mean its pretty freaking ridiculous their priorities...

Yes!!! They did the same thing with Thanos...Josh Brolin wasn't cast yet and it was a stand in and he said nothing and his presence was certainly felt at the end of Avengers. I get that Marvel Studios likes to plan years in advance for stuff but you are telling me that when the Fox deal was done and those characters were ready to be used, that they couldn't switch their plans up or add to them and make sure Doom got preferential treatment. I know I would have made Doom a MAJOR priority on Day 1....

Ryan Coogler seems to be a potential director to have access to Doom since he has a strong connection and love for cultural backgrounds and such...

Mind you in this interview, the interviewer asks about Doom around the 4:42 mark to Coogler...



P.S. Its nice to see at least SOMEONE at Marvel say the words Doctor Doom and Latveria...still blows my mind that in any public interview that I am able to research that no interviewer has never asked Feige about Doom...nor have I heard him mouth the words....its crazy lol

Maybe with the past track record of the Fantastic Four and Doom on film, they don't want to invest too heavily into him by making him a Thanos level threat before they see how he comes off.

The real question is, will Doom have a nose piercing?
