Well in that case I don't mind the short episode at all. And let's be reality, this show has always managed to spend it's minutes in shorter episodes really well.

Bo sulking in her castle because her followers deserted her earns her a "Pull yourself together, you have to expect this" response. Bo sinking into despair because her friends deserted her, that gets a more sympathetic response — and makes her vulnerable to a cult's love-bombing.
