So. 5 (soon) X-Men team books? All New, Uncanny, WATX, Astonishing, and Adjectiveless ...all sharing the same characters?
I actually quoted this to show how they aren't really ovelapping all that much, but I think you're right. Wolverine & the X-Men is essentially the same cast as All New X-Men. Astonishing borrows from that same cast (Wolverine, Iceman, Warbird?) plus a couple extra members, and Adjectiveless does the same (adding Jubilee... as well as Psylocke, who is on Uncanny X-Force). Uncanny is a separate cast, but that and All New will be cameoing quite a bit in each other's books due to the Bendis-connection so they'll still be prevalent in each other's books (at least, that's my understanding of it).
So yeah. Kitty, Beast, Iceman, Wolverine, and Storm are pretty much everywhere. Rachel, Warbird, and Psylocke are in 2-3 books. Then we have the Uncanny team who have their book plus quite a few cameos I'd expect.
There aren't too many X-Men (living) who are being left out of comics, save for smaller names like Lifeguard, Pixie, and Warpath, but there does seem to be an overabundance of X-Men books with repeating characters.
Honestly, the X-Men need to be streamlined. Two of these books can be cut and no one would miss them. All you'd have to do is move Northstar to Uncanny, joining Cyclops, and bring Northstar's husband with him and Astonishing X-Men can be canned. It's not serving any other purpose really other than showcasing the first gay marriage at Marvel. Then take Evan, Kid Omega, Idy, and Broo out of Wolverine & the X-Men and put them in All New X-Men and you could can W&tXM as well. It's basically the same thing as All New X-Men but with different students.
Then you'd have Uncanny X-Men, All New X-Men, and Adjectiveless X-Men. That one is okay, in my opinion, because it's a different take... showcasing the X-women, which hasn't really been done before. Characters repeat but it could have it's audience apart from the other titles. Especially if you add one or two more women who aren't in other books like Lifegard and Dazzler (soon). Astonishing X-Men and Wolverine & the X-Men, though, are just pointless.
