9.03 - Rabid - Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

well there is some things we cant take at face value, they probably manufactored some more of his blood once they got the sample. also emil was saying that they were adding it into rain clouds so it can spread across the city as rain.

I think GA was an alcoholic in the comics

I like that Ollie has been telling Clark to get off his ass and do some good with his powers the last few seasons. And now that he is he's jealous. :hehe:

yea the whole ollie and clark relationship is an interesting one.

I'm really digging Callum Blue as Zod.

I missed the first 10 minutes...did Clark ask Lois out?

So...that was another misleading promo?! :cmad:

the trailer was a combo of Rabid and Echo.

Which is kind of unacceptable IMO. If this were a midseason break or something that would be fine, but showing clips for an episode in two weeks on a promo for this weeks episode? What is that about?!

Supernatural did the same thing. They showed a bunch of clips from upcoming episodes in their preview. Though they did say "Soon"...

OMG another solid episode with an awesome Lois & Clark moment that was Iconic .

Bingo. And I mean, SN's was like a minute long or so, obviously they wouldnt do that for just one episode. The network couldnt find enough material from Rabid for a twenty second long promo?

yeah, someone who doesn't read the spoilers would have expected Clark asking Lois out on a date and feel duped when it didn't happen. Next week though!

The Good

1. Lois & Clark : OMG

2. Zod

3. Emil Hamilton

4. Zombies

5. From his wallet to the scrapbook

6. Oliver

Bad

1. Chloe spying on Oliver

Good episode, I really liked Resident Evil 2, which was basically this episode, and Im glad Oliver made the reference..

Did Clark really need to move a truck to stop Oliver from driving his motorcycle? Or did I see that wrong... Whats the purpose of Chloe looking for the League?

So Dr. Coats did this on his own, and Zod still killed him... good.

well he didnt like that "Dr. Coats" was doing this cause it would reveal the past kryptonians to the public and right now he doesnt want to be revealed. As for chloe she knows all the jl are depressed and sad from their actions which caused fake jimmy to get killed. So she probably wants to watch over them to make sure they are ok and try and get the group back together so they can be stronger together.

I'm assuming that now that Oliver has burned his G.A. outfit he'll don the classic one when he meets Speedy .

doubtful the closest we seen to classic suit is when he was at that costume party in season 6. it wouldnt look that great lol compared to his leather outfit. He will likely just have another leather one made, or maybe a slight costume change but still pretty simular to what we seen him in.

Must say the black superman suit is growing on me...when he had that talk with Oliver in the suit I was like, "Ooh, he's Superman right now..."

Was a decent episode I thought

I wasn't really bothered by the zombie like aspect of the episode when they made it pretty clear it was released by Zod (or one of his men), but it actually turned out quite decent, the zombie fights where quite entertaining.

The only real aspects of the zombies I didn't like was that so many people appeared to have been infected. They where then cured by putting the antidote in the water supplies (fair enough) & infusing it somehow with the rain..

I know very little about the deep scientific elements/cycle of rain, clouds etc other than the basic stuff taught in school however I'm going to go out on a limb & say the way in which they infused all off the rain is impossible.. (then again I suppose so is freezing a lake, picking it up then dropping it over a fire & it turning completely to liquid before it hits the ground... dammit :D) Then overlooking how they got the antidote into both, what happened to the people that didn't drink tap water in the morning or step outside into the rain before it stopped..? One name I can think of is Tess.

But I suppose in regard to the antidote I can overlook it & just assume that the entier city was not infected completely, just people in & around the Daily Planet.. heck maybe that's why Clark was running about near the end, perhaps he was scouring the city for any remaining zombies & making them drink a glass of water..

Aside from the way they where cured I thought it was a decent enough idea & fun to watch, particularly because it was a 'Kryptonian' like virus released by one of Zod's men.

The Clark/Lois interaction throughout the entier episode was top notch, I really enjoyed it all & I'm loving how its developing.

Oliver Queen/Green Arrow...
Well I'm quite sick of this character now, the novelty of having the Green Arrow on the show has finally wore off on me. We've already seen him be a feckin drunk for an entier season I don't want to see it again. This show is about Superman, his problems/coming to terms of who he is & what he has to do not Green Arrow Happy Hour Part II...
I don't have a problem if they brought him back now & again, but really his drinking ****e is taking up too much time in these episodes..

Doesn't look like its going to wear off either as the next 2 episodes seem very Oliver 'rock bottom/in trouble' orientated :(

Anyway, I thought this was a decent enough episode despite its probable plot flaws & irritating Oliver 'happy hour' Queen nonsense. The Clark/Lois & the entier Zod/virus stuff was what made this episode for me. I'm looking forward to see where they're going with the Zod arc & I can't wait to see what is next for Clark/Lois.. :super:

Here's an interesting note I'd like to point out .

The Kryptonian virus released if you notice all the victims all had red eyes and a grey discoleration around there jaws much like Davis had when he was transforming into Doomsday.

So if you would the those infected were sort of becoming Doomsday like creatures more than Zombies .

I thought Zod said something about it taking guts to go against the authority in order to do something like unleashing the virus, hence is why he killed him, because he wasn't obedient and tried to do things on his own without receiving orders first.

Yeah I noticed that the pic of Lois and Tess that were released looked similar to the Doomsday makeup, mainly because of the red eyes, but i didn't think it would be connected to his creation. Nice touch. Also, I guess that explains how Lois and the others managed to gain enough strength to send Clark flying after a punch.
