and funniest words ever written on the show.....

"Somebody Save Me"
:applaud

I really loved this episode. :hrt:

I chuckled when I saw that. Would have been cool if that was shown in the opening sequence and then they cut to the music.:word:

Well u can say the jorel we saw in kandor was like mid 40s and jorel at time of death was like 60s so maybe he didn't age to much in 20 yrs. But its a little silly to nitpick that. I agree sands and slater were fine in there scene. And teri was great in hers. Was nice of her to agree to be on the show. I also loled hard when lois said hello to the fos as mr. El classic.

I knew Tess was a Luthor from the very first scene she appeared in way back when. That red hair was a dead give away in my opinion and I like her being tied in to the whole mythology.

I thought all the mummies and daddies were awesome... a couple have commented on Helen's acting, but I thought she was spot on, considering how panicked she was and desperately wanting to get her message through before disaster occurred. Great scene that made up for all the years of B.S. that A.I. Jor-el has given us.

Funniest words uttered ever on the show.....

Mr. El :lmao:

I started wondering myself about this possibility by the beginning of the season. Obviously is came out in Abandoned.

And that "somebody save me" remide was totally clever as well. :woot:

It looked like the aged Sands with some grey hair but it might have just been all of the glowy whiteness of the FOS.

Before they showed his face I was thinking that we'd finally see Terence Stamp as Jor-El. When they showed Sands again I was like . You couldn't at least show him 20 - 25yrs older?

I would have much rather prefered to have seen Terence Stamp as Jor-El from the beginning but I guess on Smallville Kryptonians just don't age very much regardless of how old they might be.

just seems weird to me. Why now? Because lois threw out an insult? I just seemed a little to tidy

Not really she did basically the same thing Jonathan did in "Exile" just without making a deal that would cost her life.

Heck Martha did the same in "Zod", and Chloe did as well in "Traveler" to get him to restore Kara's memory and powers .

Stamp probably cost more to have him flown in and do physical work.

This was probably my favorite episode of the season so far. Good ****.

Ah yes, I remember Jor-El talk with Martha in Zod. It was a really big episode for the Clark/Jor-eL relationship. Clark finally called him his father, and Jor-El told Martha he was happy with the way they were raising Clark.

This was a very solid episode. I would be lying if I said it didn't make me feel a little sad during some parts. Mainly the Teri videos. That was some really good stuff.

I wouldn't say I was shocked when it was revealed about the parents being the Luthors. But I didn't hate the idea either.

The Freddy Kruger glove made me chuckle, as did the writing "somebody save me".

Really? Most fans (according to different forum polls) prefer Homecoming and Ambush, which I agree were better episodes. This one wasn't bad, but far from being the best, but to each its own. ;)

Is getting old how some still nitpick stupid things like Jor-El's age, get over it, Julian Sands got the job done, moving on.

I didnt realize Lois' mother was dead. When I heard Teri was guestting, I expected more. Overall great episode and I love the Tess twist.

Same here, man. I guess it slipped my mind over the years. I couldn't recall which episodes even referenced Lois saying her mom was dead. I always heard about the General and that's it.

For me this whole season has been pretty good allaround. I have liked pretty much every episode. Don't have any big complaints minus tiny little things.

I would have much rather prefered to have seen Terence Stamp as Jor-El from the beginning but I guess on Smallville Kryptonians just don't age very much regardless of how old they might be.

Yeah, it's probably a money thing, but to be honest, George Takai is in his 80s, and he really doesn't look more than 60 something. :)

James Marsters, who played Brainiac on Smallville is 50 years old almost. He doesn't look more than 40 at all.

So, it's not unlikely that Kryptonians have the same good genes, that allow them to not age much.
After all, it's in our genes. And Kryptonians were based on humans.

well its not really, from what we get what jorel in the message said is that the jorel ai is emotionless so it wouldnt have jorel's same ego problems. So we see now why the ai has been such a hardass to clark over the yrs. Since its only jorel's knowledge and not his emotion/compassion and all that.

Wow...that actually makes sense.

Rewatching that scene,

"Sending you all of my knowledge...but none of my ego."

...I gotta say, the writers are really cleaning up a lot of the "mess" past writers have established about certain characters the past few seasons.

Yea I thought it was a good why to explain why the ai has been the way it has.

But didn't we already know that the FOS Jor-El was an A.I. with no emotion? It was kind of self-explanatory.

We knew it was AI, but they never explicity explained that it was programmed to be emotionless...we were simply meant to believe that kryptonians were cold and emotionless beings by nature.

Please...some fans need to stop acting like they knew this or saw this coming all along.

Especially after all these years of people questioning why Jor-EL was being portrayed as such a *****e and/or how they felt the writers screwed up the character.
