The SHHFFL IX Season...

If Poeman wins, he's in the playoffs because he'll jump ahead of the loser of the Lemurs/Minions game...

However, if Poeman loses, and Zaxby & Matt win, then we'd have 4 teams locked in at 7-7 with only one of them advancing....which I believe is based on points, so winning BIG next week means a LOT...

I think the edge would currently go to the Minions, because they have over 130 more points than the others... but if they win their game, less than 40 points separate Matt from the Lemurs... Poeman has more than 100 points between himself and Matt...

So the only way the Cookies can get in is with a straight win against the 3-10 Butterflies... their rival in Rivalry Week.

:yay:

Does the fact that I beat the Lemurs head to head matter at all? I think next year, if possible, that is a revision we should consider. It would make every game have playoff implications and matter that much more.

I don't think we have a choice in the matter.

Here are Yahoo's tie-breaking rules
Please note: Teams must have identical winning percentages to be tied. For example: a team with an 10-5-1, or a 65.6% (10.5/16) record will be seeded ahead of a team with an 10-6, or a 62.5% (10/16) record.

Ties are broken in the following order:
Division winning percentage.
Total fantasy points (season total).
Fantasy points scored in the last week of the league's regular season.
Fantasy points scored in the second-to-last week of the league's regular season.

The comparison continues until the tie is broken or no more weeks remain to compare. At that time, a coin flip will settle the tie.
Division winning percentage is determined by dividing the number of wins against division opponents by the total number of games against division opponents (division record is currently not displayed and must be determined manually by viewing a team's schedule).

Wild Card Tiebreakers: If two teams tie for a wild card playoff position, the same tiebreakers are in place with the exception of division record. The first criteria to break a tie that does not involve division leaders is total fantasy points for the season.
Overall winning percentage.
Fantasy points scored.
Fantasy points scored in Week 17.
Fantasy points scored in Week 16.
Fantasy points scored in Week 15.
Fantasy points scored in Week 14.
Fantasy points scored in Week 13.
Fantasy points scored in Week 12.
Fantasy points scored in Week 11.
Fantasy points scored in Week 10.
Fantasy points scored in Week 9.
Fantasy points scored in Week 8.
Fantasy points scored in Week 7.
Fantasy points scored in Week 6.
Fantasy points scored in Week 5.
Fantasy points scored in Week 4.
Fantasy points scored in Week 3.
Fantasy points scored in Week 2.
Fantasy points scored in Week 1.

Note: Head-to-Head results are NOT considered when breaking a tie at the end of the regular season. Furthermore, please know that Yahoo! uses these tiebreakers to determine the order of regular-season standings.

And if no tie-breaker works, then Yahoo just uses a coin flip.

I see, so there is no league option to edit it? That sucks. Giving regular season games such high importance (as tie breakers) would be awesome.

I wish I could use head to head, but alas...

So Matt, you need for Poeman AND the Lemurs to lose, and you need to win AND score more than 40 points than the Lemurs in the Final week...

Not impossible...

Nope, anything's possible.

Though I think I'd need Brees' 2010 Madden curse to kick in a year late. :funny:

Honestly though, I can't complain. There was a point in this season when I was at the bottom of the pack. I fought back to realistic playoff contention. If Schaub and Petersen didn't get injured or I played Rex Grossman two weeks ago, I would control my own fate right. But, you take the good with the bad, always next season.

Holy shnikes. 63 points from ONE receiver and my defense. Who was laughing at me for drafting Antonio Brown again?

My rival. :argh: I may not make playoffs, but I am going to **** your seed up. :oldrazz:

Actually, I don't think I can do that, even if you lose you are guaranteed the two seed despite Alex's superior record because you won your division. :argh:

And Rivalry Week has begun... good luck to all the teams still in the hunt for a playoff spot...

:yay:

Down by 3 points with a whole second half for Nicks and Robinson to play in.... I think the very first rivalry game between SF and myself is going to team Hobbit!

And if it doesn't then I'm going to hunt down Mr. Fitzpatrick myself!!!

:funny: I need a combined 4 points from my two running backs, Marshawn Lynch and Steven Jackson. Even if I win, it really isn't a biggie for you.

Ugh, against the Rams that may be enough. :(
