The SHHFFL IX Season...

I want to trash talk but I have a bad feeling about this week. I don't like either of my quarterbacks :(

well, I'd have a chance if I had known the Giants defense was going to decide to show up. Or if Romo hadn't gotten killed. :(

I can't even celebrate Romo getting killed because he was my quarterback in my other league. There's a possibility I'll be knocked out of both leagues a week shy of the superbowl.

Biting my fingernails.

Both games are still up for grabs. So, go Chicago defense :p

Man, two last minute additions to my team have hopefully saved my week. Bell really impressed me tonight and Demaryius Thomas was a risky chance that seemed to pay off. As long as Jimmy Graham doesn't pull a Romo I should get those last couple of points to advance to the Superbowl. I'm just glad W started the wrong Defense!

And God bless Jordy Nelson. His game tonight put me back in the running for the Superbowl in my other league too. I'm down 38.22 with Tony Gonzalas, Darren Sproles, and John Kasay left to play (and he's done). And that's after Romo let me down over there.

Here's hoping for my best year in Fantasy Football to date!

Welp, if that pass hadn't been for a touchdown, JH would have been one yard short of beating me.

except :(

Good game W. I was seriously scared this week.

And I am in so much shock right now. I am going to the Superbowl in not one but BOTH my Fantasy leagues!!! My other league I came into yesterday down around 65 points came back and beat my opponant with Brees' final pass of the game. Victory by two points!!!

Man... I can't sleep.

If Alex can read this I look forward to the game next week. Congrats on making it as well.

I had a feeling I was going to lose this game after the results were in last week. Which is weird because I had the strange feeling I could have become the first repeat champ. Guess we have to wait for another year. I'll have to see how my points stack up to you guys next week ;)

I guess I can't complain too much. I was 1-4 and throwing in the towel. And then went 9-1 over the rest of the season. Good game, JH.

P.S.

I hate you :cmad:

:)

:woot: :woot: :woot:

Good games for all team involved... I'll post "reports" later today...

:yay:

And here are the play off results from Week 16...

Alex's Warriors (2) beat SF's Backstabbers (3) by the score of 93.55 to 76.24 to advance to the Super SHHFFL Bowl IX.

The Hobbit Brigade (5) also advanced to the Finals with a narrow 101.34 to 92.87 victory over the favorites W'sOrNothing (1).

... and this sets up the Super SHHFFL Bowl IX for Week 17...

Alex's Warriors 13-4-0 (2) vs The Hobbit Brigade 12-5-0 (5)

It's an all-Timely Division Bowl battle...

The Warriors have already beaten the Hobbit Brigade recently in Week 13, so the rematch should be intense...

The trash talk will be one-sided, as Alex is a former poster now banned for too many infractions... but I'm sure he's talking it up LSP style... :cwink:

In the consolation rounds... we have the following matches...

Mindless Minions (6) cruised by Daisy's Dukes (7) by the score of 137.74 to 102.84
And the Pickled Peppers 10-6-0 (4) beat out Poeman's Cookies 8-8-0 (8) by the score of 139.66 to 114.05

This sets up a rematch of SHHFFL Bowl VI with the Pickled Peppers & Minions battling for 5th spot, while Daisy's Dukes & the Cookies battle for 7th place...

Congrats everyone... may the better teams win...

:yay:

My team just crapped out eventually thanks to injuries. I'm amazed that I made it this far losing Jamaal Charles, Jay Cutler, and Matt Forte this year and having essentially no RBs.

So, good 1st year for SFs Backstabbers and good luck to the finalists :)

Great work with the league this year...Cant wait till next season when I actually decide to draft a "elite" qb this time

I'm going to change the RB stats to 1 point per 10 yards instead of 20 yards... so the RB position will be more relevant next year.

Rodgers who probably won't play the whole game, or Dalton against the Ravens...

Man, if Romo could have gotten a long ball down to Robinson on that last drive I might have won, but alas.

It was a close game in the end but I lost. Congrats to Alex for a worthy Superbowl win

Did Alex seriously just win the SHHFFL? The league is forever tainted. :(

Congrats on a great season to both Alex and Jewhob and congrats on your championship Alex, wherever you are.

Well congrats to Alex wherever he is...Good season here, a positive for me is that I won my championship game in another league today. Went 16-1 the whole season.

I need to pay a bit more attention next year in this league's scoring settings lol

I lost both of my Superbowls unfortunately. My opponant in my other league (my brother and his wife actually) decimated me by about 25 points. I was excited because they had a lot of great players like Rogers who weren't playing. They played their backups and I was feeling good about it. Turns out their back ups did better than her starters usually did!

Oh well, at least I can have some bragging rights in saying I made it to the Superbowl twice in one year. I'm not counting on that happening again.

My wife, however, who is a total trashtalker, is riding high. She won our league last year and this year she got eliminated last week, but she won the Superbowl in her other league. So in she has back to back Superbowl wins and I'm not going to hear the end of it. She also drafted for my brother and his wife's team because they couldn't be at the draft so she's claiming partial responsibility for them winning the championship. I plan on bagging her and beating her with a stick very soon.
