Yeah, this can't be taken seriously. Just turn your brain off for 2 hours and enjoy this fanfic :hehe:

Definitely. I'm going to see it. It looks fun.

Same here. And I am a HUGE Terminator fan. I have been watching T1 since I was 4 and can act out the whole movie. I think what they are doing here is the only way they could go.

Whatever...I think it looks great. I don't know how anyone can say it doesn't. I blame cocaine.

I don't have big expectations but I'll definitely check it out because of Arnold and it's a new Terminator film. Not sure I'll see it at a theater but that's only because I rarely go to movie theaters now and the only films I plan on seeing there next year is Avengers:AOU,Star Wars and maybe Jurrasic World. I don't buy dvds anymore either so if I miss this on the big screen then I'll see it on Netflix or rent it on ITunes

I don't know how the time travel scene is going to come across as anything but hilarious. Just strutting around naked, getting a hand shake from John Connors, all the military guys looking up at his junk before he gets sent back.

I will probably go see this. But the expectations are really, really low.

What happens if Kyle was aroused the entire time. AWKWARD!

So which T 800 is the one who... sigh... raises Sarah? I mean is he supposed to be one that's previously appeared? or is he yet another one that got sent back, this time to fend off an attack when Sarah was a child?

YES. I know how it could happen too.

John Connor: Thank you for agreeing to this mission, Kyle. You don't know how important you are.

Kyle Reese: No problem, sir. The future depends on it.

John Connor: That's true, but as you know, I have a personal stake in this too. Thank you for going back to save my mother.

Kyle Reese: (thinks about the picture of Sarah Connor that he's been obsessing over for months) No problem sir. She was an amazing woman. And beautiful too, if you don't mind me saying. Just gorgeous... and... um... uh oh...

John Connor: (looks down) OH. Um. Yeah. So, ready to go then? OKAY, SEE YA!

Poor John Connor. Emotionally and physically scarred.

If we see an older T-800 meeting to confront the younger T-800 at the Glendale Observatory is there a slight chance of a Bill Paxton cameo as the punk?

even though the marketing for the film is questionable i don't think the footage itself looks bad at all. it's just there's a lot of skepticism (with real weight) because we've been burnt out before so many times with this franchise.

Fun . Thats the word thats getting thrown around these forums alot.Terminator is not about fun ffs , its about technology vs mankind and how ingrossed we are with it that it snaps back in our faces and see's us as a threat . Seems to me half of this board has forgotten about the undertones T1 and T2 explained. People these days think technology is so helpful and helping to advance the human race, when actually your investing in your own death and mankinds.

It will get to the point when a machine will think for its self. What are missiles and nuclear wareheads controlled by.yea ****ing computers . Soon as they know humans ain't nothing but trash they will launch that **** from all corners of the globe .Just like those films covered and highlighted. Thoses films had some deep elements that showed mankinds path alongside technological advancements. **** ain't funny i tell you that now.

i like that they used colors similar to movies from the 90's and 80's . but there is this soft blurred lighting on the faces that i know was created with cgi. its like the third Hobbit movie IMO.

the framing and composition is very basic. not enough wide angles and the camera is not following the characters and action IMO.

I don't think the footage looks good. Terminator Salvation's trailer and footage looked good, TG does not to me. I don't think the film looks remotely fun at all either. To each his/her own though.

i think we all liked TS because it was dirty, dusty full of noise and desaturated. its easier to like :)

what makes me angry with T5 is that its reboot like ST 2009. its supposed ti be for old and new fans. how can old fans like this? if this was a full reboot than at least i could say that its not for me but for the young generation.

One thing I found a bit odd was that Matt Smith wasn't shown, after being involved in the EW photo shoot and what not.

It is painfully obvious that this is the Terminator version of the Trek reboot. And maybe I wouldn't hate that if the plot didn't sound silly and the footage looked good and the cast looked like they fit their roles.

JJ Abrams scripts aren't always there but I think he's a solid director who knows how to cast his films.
