Lounge of Justice - Part 90

Icon is more like Martian Manhunter than Superman.
Fair enough. I havent delved too deep into his character, but just going off what others were saying on Static forums/threads.

All this stuff with HBOMax I dont think he'll be returning as Killmonger anytime soon.

Yeah he's more like Martian Manhunter almost has the same background and powers.

Getting the sense they may give Batgirl a cameo in Flash, especially after that article claiming it would clarify the future of the franchise.

That very same image you posted tells you why they're rushing this whole process..

I can't believe people actually think this HBO Max show could lead to the cancellation of the movie lol. They paid JJ half a billion to come work for them. That movie is 100% happening

I know. But I wouldn't be surprised if it goes deeper than the costume and training. I could totally see them anting to tease her in a cameo elsewhere first.

As for fans thinking this signals the Abrams movie not happening, that just seems like a mix of extremely wishful thinking and people misreading that Goyer interview and taking it as confirmation Man of Steel 2 is finally happening (even though it literally says that the studio denies it).

Val-Zod is the coolest alt-verse Supes, imo, and Jordan is a great fit for him. Here for this series!

I'm real interested to see how closely they follow Earth 2, if at all.

Michael Jordan as Val Zod is a great idea, what's surprising is the fact that this is going to be developed as a limited episode series for HBO Max (instead of a movie)

I wanted a Cyborg movie, oh well.

Watched the film "Censor" last night. I think I saw other talking about it here before. LOVED it.

Is Kingdom: Ashin of the North a continuation of the first 2 seasons? It's not counted as S3.

Yeah I just finished that a few minutes ago, truly a different time, but equally as horrifying to watch now.

Any of y’all watch Kevin Smiths MOTU? It was a tad before my time so I know nothing about it but I thought it was good.

I’ve seen a lot of complaints online about He-Man himself but if you read between the lines I don’t think KS is betraying the character. It’s clear the thing is a set up.

Just glad my childhood was pure B:TAS.

This Woodstock '99 doc on HBO Max is crazy

Yeah...it amazes me how out of touch the promoters are even now. It was just a few knuckleheads causing issues and Fred Durst and MTV ruined everything. :whatever::whatever::whatever::whatever::whatever:

It is criminal how much Limp Biskit is blamed while bands like the Chilli Peppers were way worse in some ways. (Encouraging the fires)

Just finished. I can see why folks are mad but I enjoyed it. Looking forward to the 2nd part.

Gotta check this out now.

And wow Space Jam 2 took another epic week 2 dive. So that makes just about every big movie released the last few months. Wonder if this is just the new normal now since it seems like despite the whole "Hollywood is back!" campaign, a lot of people still don't feel comfortable going back to theaters.

This just tells me that HBO Max's strategy of same day-date release was right, despite what Nolan and Villeneuve think about it.

And, they spent too much on Space Jam 2, if the figure of $150 mil. is correct, should have made the movie with $60 mil. budget.

People are still reluctant to go to theaters and "Theater Only" plan sounds incredibly limiting and ill thought of, even if the intention of film-makers was to provide general audiences the best movie going experience.

At least getting movies released on HBO Max resulted in increase in viewership at the cost of movie profits.

‘DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow’: Matt Ryan As New Character In Season 7 – Deadline

Matt Ryan, who has played John Constantine on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow since Season 3, will be wrapping up his arc as the DC antihero in the current sixth season, but Ryan is not going anywhere.

At the show’s Comic-Con@Home panel Sunday, executive producer/co-showrunner Phil Klemmer revealed that Ryan will be back as a series regular in Season 7 as a new character, Dr. Gwyn Davies, an eccentric scientist from the early 20th century who might be the team’s only hope next season.

The character is now being phased out on the show as a Constantine reboot from J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot and Warner Bros. TV is in the works for HBO Max with a darker tone and a new take on John Constantine, likely as a character of color.

Warner is clueless.

I feel bad for Ryan, guy’s been the definitive live action Constantine and can’t even have his own show, now they shelf him in favor of some JJ Abrams produced show, like some sort of half hearted bat embargo. I don’t watch Legends, but the dude deserves better.

Between this and the announcement of MBJ’s Superman hbo max project, I’m really starting to sour on the prospects of the JJ Warner partnership.

How about you go away and work on Cloverfield 2 instead, bro. And no fake outs this time, I want Cloverfield 2. No lanes, no paradoxes, the real thing.
