Terminator: Genisys - Part 6

She's too cute to play hardened. It's a miscast.

I think Clarke could have been fine if she was just playing Terminator 1 Sarah, but this version is clearly more Terminator 2 Sarah and she just can't sell it from what I've seen.
I thought about that before, but after five seasons of GoT and a few other roles she has done, I don't think she could have. Clarke doesn't have that internal steel that Sarah had even in the first film. That really blossoms as the film goes on.

Sarah at the end of the first film reminds me of Ripley riding that elevator in Aliens.

Fair enough, I'll have to defer to you there then as I've seen only a few episodes of Game of Thrones that I've happened to be in the room for. Either way though, there are better choices out there and even in just who they were looking at.

I would honestly believe Chloe Moretz as a young Sarah moreso that her, and that's saying something.

The greatest hero moment in cinema history *chills*

Yeah, the annoying part is that they had the better choices right there in front of them - Brie Larson and Tatiana Maslany. But they went with the "name" (or, the one Taylor was already acquainted with). Far as I'm concerned, they deserve what they got, lol.

Her cuteness isn't the problem imo. I have seen cuter women play complete badasses. It is her general softness and constant state of wide-eyeness imo. She either does waif or she tries the sexy.

In five years, she'd probably be perfect. Though we live in a world with Brie Larson at the perfect age, and they didn't care. :funny:

Emilia Clarke doesn't have any chemistry with anyone on Game of Thrones outside of Ian Glen, the actor that plays Jorah Mormont.

I saw an interview with her today where she actually said "what the Dickens" and not in a put on or joking way, classic posh Brit from a US rom com come to life. :D

Better for them at least, hopefully they'll get a shot at a major film that actually has a good script.

Not going to lie, I thought the first trailer was pretty good and I was looking forward to the film.

Now look at where we are. :(

I thought she had great chemistry with her crew from the first season. Her brother, Drogo, her handmaidens. Her and Harry Lloyd were especially good together imo. But yeah, that was a long time ago.

It is definitely in my top 10. And now Hunter has a new idea for a thread. :funny:

It is a double edge sword. They may never get their chance. But then I see the Box Office and general reaction to Tomorrowland, and worry that Brit Robertson is "done" before she even started.

I agree. Emilia Clarke looks too soft. She didn't have Cameron yell at her to bulk up

She looks 15.

One thing Cameron knew how to do is get his leading ladies into battle mode. Even Jamie Lee Curtis

I don't think she is a great actress, but lord is she attractive. I like her, so I feel bad putting her skills down. :funny:

They just need to stop trying to recreate the magic of T2. It's not going to happen. They'd be better off going smaller and more personal like T1 but with great FX.
Lets say we do that.
Whats the story going to be ?

The thing is, I don't even think she could do that if she wanted to. She needs to keep her general look the same because of GoT.

Yeah the problem with Robertson is that she is talented but she's in a lot of failures. T.V shows and Tomorrowland. I just unfortunately think that she is starting to get that stench of failure on her.
