My eyes! My eyes! :woo:

Also, that fake beard in Keaton is hilarious. Can someone explain to me how ordinary people who do tutorials on Instagram can do better hair and makeup work than people working on $200 million movies?
The people doing the tutorials are trying to make people look good. The people working on blockbusters are trying to make people look artsy bad.

Hi thanks :)
ATSV opens here June 16th...so less than 2 weeks from now. Hehe. Can't wait..and then the week after is The Flash and the week after that is Indy 5.

It's stacked! Haha
This year has been crazy for films since about March. I’ve fell behind on tons of work and my schedule has been totally ruined! Not long for ATSV then, hope you love it.

Haven't seen it.

You may disagree with critics or agree with them. I tend to agree with them far more often than not, but not always. I've liked panned movies and disliked praised ones. That's going to happen, especially when talking thousands of movies. But I definitely don't think they are hacks or acting on an agenda or anything like that, and generally I feel they have a lot more insight on the medium in general than the average joe.

I also don't think there is a larger critics conspiracy or anything like that. In general, I find critics to be more right than they are wrong, but it isn't absolute and I do sometimes like movies critics didn't like. There are bad faith people in every profession. That doesn't mean there is a grand conspiracy or anything.

As it pertains to The Flash, I am sure it's going to end up with an okay score based on the pattern I am seeing emerge with the critic reviews. That's where I find critics useful. Not for any single critic's opinion, but to see the pattern of what they all talk about. I do find it hilarious with all the hype, it's gonna end up high 60s or mid to low 70s. But being fair to the movie, it does seem critics largely think the movie is at least good.

But that fact doesn't matter much because regardless I am skipping the movie

I had read something about that before seeing the movie yesterday so it was kinda in the back of my mind as I watched. I genuinely think this was deliberate, but they left it ambiguous enough to ultimately be up to the viewer.
Going to be paying a bit more attention to this my next viewing.

Also, for a movie as beautiful as ATSV is in general, Gwen in her world is something else. The mood ring effect... I want a whole movie.

Always nice to hear younger folk enjoying these types of films. Box office isn't the most important thing, but with animated films trying something different, box office feels a bit more important. So we keep getting really cool, creative stuff like this and Puss and Boots.
