Not sure if you are serious or just trying to troll?
Are you serious?

Not that there is much shame in that. Both T2 and JP hold up amazingly.

What the hell are you all talking about bad CG? Either you guys don't know what bad CG is or we are watching different trailers.

Go watch Green Lantern and see his CG suit and mask for example of bad CG.

Go watch X-Men Origins Wolverine for even more bad CG, but the stand out is the claws scene in the old farmer's bathroom.

Nothing shown in JW teaser is a bad as those and it isn't worse than the 1993 CG. Besides, I would save final judgement until June, not from one teaser trailer from a movie nearly seven months away from hitting the big screen.

The car change in Men in Black still holds up pretty well too

When are people gonna realize this is said all the time, and rarely is the CGI upgraded to a degree that it suddenly becomes spectacular?

If there is fantastic CGI in the trailer, it will be in the film. If it isn't, there is no guarantee it will be.

Thank. You.

This is an example of people taking the amount of time until release for granted, when in reality, anything could happen. Hell, some things might get taken out altogether, changed completely, or end up looking worse. We saw all three with TASM 2, for that matter. There's no guarantees when it comes to things like this.

It's one thing to have faith that the effects team can improve the CGI, but to use that as some sort of argument to dismiss people's opinions is just a presumption that's solely based on wishful thinking. Aside from that, what studio worth their salt would release half-baked visuals in a teaser or trailer that's supposed to be representative of the finished film? That's not just bad business, that's dumb business.

Either way, people should be allowed to speak their mind on what they see in the here and now, good or bad.

Just because you don't have the most discerning eye, does not suddenly make us all crazy. If bad CGI has to be on that obvious of a scale for you, perhaps that is why you are missing what so many are seeing here.

I liked the trailer, and I think it works as a trailer. I'm on board with the concept.

I agree 100% Visualiza. We have seen this situation so many times with countless different outcomes. To slap down any criticism with the, "its only a trailer, it will get better" argument is quite laughable at this point. They went out of their way to polish these shots for a trailer after all.

I remember as a kid I had a hard time grasping how they were able to bring a T-Rex to life. It was damn good.

Where do people come up with this ****? We don't *need* *any* movies. If you don't like something don't go see it, don't go into threads discussing it, don't think about it. Easiest thing in the world. Gotta piss in peoples Cheerios though, if you ain't having fun then by God no one else should either.

Some of you are making too big a deal over the hybrid dino. You realize there's real life hybrid animals right? Like the Liger. A hybrid dinosaur is the same thing. Same with raptors being trained in captivity, in real life tigers are trained. As are many other animals. So I don't get all the complaints about these 2 things, when they've already been done and exist in real life. Makes me shake my head how some of you think.

Indeed. Including modern raptors:

Does no one remember Grants little speech about dinosaurs (specifically raptors) evolving into birds; "No wonder these guys learned to fly..... Even the word raptor means "bird of prey""

What would you think of a motorcycle chase involving the dinosaurs?

Dinosaurs on motorbikes?

I think it's crazy enough to work!

:o

Many people I know still think the T-Rex was an animatronic the entire time. :yay:

I think the CGI looked fine minus the water scene maybe, some really bad CG in a trailer is "these bats were bred for war" over in the recently released Hobbit 3 trailer. Those bats are awful. But everyone does see things differently.

I'm not sold on this for one reason alone. Jurassic Park 3 was was terrible. This is like Godfather 4.

I hope we got a shot of the D-Rex like the one where Grant is facing down the rex in the rain. Its the one where the rex roars at him. In that shot, the rex looked like a real animal. Same for the Dilo.

I see this movie like Scream 4. Although I liked Scream 4.

Watching the trailer just reminded I'll probably never find that feeling of movie wonder I had upon seeing the first Jurassic Park again.

If it wasn't for the title this would seem like any other sci-fi/action creature feature.

Based on this trailer, I get the feeling of a movie trying to make a compromise between a proper sequel and a sort of remake. And imo, it seems quite risky. Let me explain.

I know we haven't see the movie yet, and even if it's nice to finally see a functional park, it's quite still the same context again. It's ok for the ones who aren't familiar with the franchise, but for an aficionado like me, the new things like tamed raptors or aquatic creatures seems very anecdotic ... I'm sure there will be more, but if the motor of the film is to show that we never learn from our error, we have already see that in "The Lost World" where people tried to make a new park.
I'm not trying to bash a movie based on a trailer, I'm just talking about the promise and what I remember from the director's interview.

If Jurassik Park is a reflection of our world, it could have been interesting to see a metaphore about how today we're dealing with problems related to our impact on the nature... Maybe that was a clue to restart the franchise.
It would have been great to show what the world would become in 20 years of cohabitation with an island full of dinosaurs. Having some migration, presence of specimens on other continent because of poachers, etc, and finally seeing the reemergence of old plants and old diseases.
If you add to climatic problems of our time the destruction of the ecosystem by the dinosaurs, you make a world that becomes increasingly hostile to man, where maybe the dinosaurs seem to fit...

I don't know but if Jurassik Park was about dinosaurs finding their way among humans, a real Jurassik World, to me, has to be about humans trying to find their way among dinosaurs. But I'm not making the movie and I still hope that it will be a good one, even if to me, it seems like an easy sequel for now.

I really hate to be this guy, but that trailer didnt make me all that confident in the film. Granted its 6 months away so Im not gonna judge this too harshly, but it just looks entirely too crisp and everything looks so...digital and artificial. Like I said, Im waiting for more trailers and the actual film to fully judge the film, but right now Im wondering whether handing Colin the keys to this particular franchise was a good idea. Safety Not Guaranteed was great but this may have been beyond his league. He probably needed a few other films under his belt before got the keys to the Corvette. I hope he proves me wrong and this is fantastic.

I got that same feeling from the tease, and the trailer didn't change that.

People are seriously criticizing Pratt's performance in this based on....like 5 seconds of him in a trailer? How does the trailer tell us anything about Pratt?

The only part I really loved was the Raptor Patrol with Pratt at the end. Besides that I'm not too impressed sadly.
