oh, it's definitely a fun game now after 3 seasons worth of content. it just had a rocky launch with bare bones content. A mistake the next SF should NOT make.I'll try it out.
Still haven't played.

Capcom has recently announced Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, which is the ultimate edition of the base Street Fighter V game; now with every single character, stage, and game mode added to both the base game and Street Fighter: Arcade Edition; including the content that was added after the Arcade Edition became available.
It is undeniable that Capcom has already reddemed themselves from the lackluster launch of the original game back in 2016, and Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is a testament to that; with as much content, fans are definitely going to appreciate everything that the new edition has to offer.
While all of the content included in Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is nice, what had fans talking was the reveal that Street Fighter III's main villain Gill is making a comeback to the series, and Capcom has released a charcter gameplay trailer that focuses solely on him.
It is also worth mentioning that Gill will be joining the Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition roster before the Champion Edition releases in February of next year; with Gill actually becoming available at a yet-to-be-revealed date in December of this year.
Capcom is also including some alternate costumes for Gill, as well as a brand-new stage, but don't take my word for it and be sure to check the character trailer down below and let us know what you think.

Rule the ring with Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, the most robust version of the acclaimed fighting game! This all-new knockout edition includes all content (excluding Fighting Chance costumes, brand collaboration costumes and Capcom Pro Tour DLC) from both Street Fighter V and Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition and adds each character, stage and costume that released after Arcade Edition and will release with Champion Edition.
Street Fighter V: Champion Edition will be releasing for the PlayStation 4 and PC(Steam) on the 14th of February in 2020.
Why didnt you get the Champion Edition? It comes with all the characters, a ton of costume DLC and is relatively cheap. Grinding for character this late doesnt seem like fun, especially since they removed most of the ways that players used to earn FMAfter 5 years I finally bought this as I don't think there will be more additional playable characters for this era. I really liked the look of the characters/background locations. I wish Marvel VS Capcom Infinite had the same look. This really feels like a StreetFighter game in the 2010s and I liked how nostalgic the game feels even though there are coupleof characters that I didn't encounter from the previous games. Though I don't like the look of the menu and HUDs, it doesn't look modern to me. Plus it looks like I'm going to do so much grinding just to unlock 20 to 30 playable characters. 100,000 fighting tokens for a single character - thats a lot!
Is it really like that? I can't play the season pass characters right away even if its the champions edition? I can't redeem my codes as the codes are for an Asian account and my ps account is an American account.

Well I guess I would have to double dip / wait for the ultimate edition and assume the codes would finally work for my account.I think they just announced another season of new characters so even the Champion Edition won’t have all the characters lol.
Have you contacted Sony and/or Capcom bc if not, you wasted 30 dollars. The whole point of getting the Champion edition is all the characters and DLC bc without those, you essentially have the base game that came out 5 years agoI got the Champions Edition.
Like I said, the other 24 characters are locked and when I triedto redeem the two codes, its not workingand I'm assuming since my ps account is not Asian,my console came from the States, its not going to work. The slip only mentioned certain Asian countries,so I'm assuming thats the problem. Redeeming codes has never been a problem to me until now.
I'm abit disappointed and I would probably not play it that much after I finished the story mode. I love Kolin though and she's probably the only character that I willget to unlock.
From what I've read online I have to make a Singaporean account and I'm not goingto do that. I also read that SFV is oneof the few games with region locked DLCs. I'm going to finish the story mode (I'm still 1/5 away from that) and hopefully I'd unlock two more characters. I'm 10k away from buying another character.Have you contacted Sony and/or Capcom bc if not, you wasted 30 dollars. man. that sucks! I feel for you man. From what I've read online I have to make a Singaporean account and I'm not goingto do that. I also read that SFV is oneof the few games with region locked DLCs. And if I get bored or desperate, I'll just reinstall the game/remove my saved files, to unlock the locked characters. I'm disappointed but I still get to play other characters like Yuri and Balrog in the story mode and fight the rest/see the other costumes/location in arcade mode.
It just seems crappyto me, that Capcom implemented these "region locked" things. I have been downloading things /redeeming codes online for years and this never happendd to me before especially Mortal Kombat X.
Oh Man!! I had been hoping they'd add a Rival Schools character, and I had wanted Akira! So I'm pleasantly surprised by this!
Looking forward to her and Rose and am also curious about the final character. Sucks we have to wait until next year to play most of these new characters, but I think it's a good way to bring SF V to a close. The game had a rough start, but it has certainly grown into its own over the past several years.
Hopefully SF V will be BC on the PS5!
They ARE developing it. Apparently it was supposed to come out next year but did not test well internally so its getting reworked and likely wont come out till 2022 at the earliest. This Season V announcement is to stretch out SFV and help make money until SF6 is closer to release.I don't know why Capcom can't just develop SFVI right now. I'm sure they are earning a lot of money out of this game but sheeesh.

Oh thats good to know that's already in the works. They ARE developing it. The art style of SFV is what I think of a SF game in the 2010s. Obviously there were differences from the previous games but they kept the "look/spirit" of Street Fighter. For me that was missing in Marvel VS Capcom Infinite compare to the first two MVC games. They change the art style with every SF generation and with the next game being next gen, I wouldnt expect anything less. It really shouldnt look like SFV bc it would run the risk of looking more like an expansion with far less content
