Oh I didn’t realize it only had a 10-episode count now, lol. Then I agree it might expand to 13. The lower they keep it, the better, though.

Yep, I think a budget cut is very likely here. Damn shame, but hopefully they can at least keep the same creative team. If they have to move the production, even that much seems like a longshot.
But like @Sithborg said, Black Lightning still shoots in Georgia, so there’s still a glimmer of hope on that front. I also doubt there will be an expanded episode count.
They were threatening to, and a couple of individual productions did, but the anti-abortion law in question is still in contention with the courts so that’s an ongoing issue. But as far as I know, BL hasn’t made any plans to leave, and the head of CW said they will have discussions with the studios about the future of filming there after a final decision is made about the law. Warner Media said they are reconsidering it as a home for future new productions, but said nothing about the productions that already film there.I thought studios like Disney/Marvel are moving out of Georgia due to the state government's political decisions.
Though I'm glad Stargirl is renewed for the 2nd season and will be on CW exclusively, like others there are concerns. I hope it will continue to shoot in Atlanta like Black Lightning. I don't see how Vancouver locations could pass for Blue Valley.
I also hope the show will keep Geoff Johns and the same creative team from the 1st season. Any writers from CW would not do it justice. Just look at the other Arrowverse shows.
I don't expect Stargirl to go no more than 13 episode as that should be enough. 22 episodes is just dragging it.
The most recent episode was pretty good!
It wouldn't be a perfect 1 to 1, but theoretically parts of nearby Ladner, Tsawwassen, Steveston and other surrounding areas aren't the most wrong you could go.Though I'm glad Stargirl is renewed for the 2nd season and will be on CW exclusively, like others there are concerns. I sense no ulterior motives involving Courtney, Yolanda and Artemis here at all...It wouldn't be a perfect 1 to 1, but theoretically parts of nearby Ladner, Tsawwassen, Steveston and other surrounding areas aren't the most wrong you could go.
Nothing's been officially said, but I mentioned in the HBO Max thread that the DCU service did away with the annual subscription option last week, which doesn't seem like a good sign. Couple that with most of their original shows going to Max or CW, and I'd say DCU's days look to be numbered...as a streaming service, anyway. I'm still holding out hope for the comics part of the service to remain, as there's still money to be made there and no one else under the AT&T umbrella would be looking to encroach on that.I haven’t heard anything but does the second season not being on DC Universe mean anything about the future of the service?
Pat and Courtney spend a lot of time together and act really awkward and evasive when anyone asks them about what they do. I'm starting to think that Barbara knows everything about the JSA (both old and new), because otherwise there are a lot of stepfather-stepdaughter warning signs that she's not picking up on.

Because Courtney is impulsive and Cindy threatened her new friends. So Cindy knows that Courtney is Stargirl. Why did Courtney charge into battle again though instead of trying to contact her friends once they left there?
At the moment, one of the reasons this show is really doing it for me is because it's not intertwined with the typical CW tripe.I'd love to see a Supergirl and Star Girl crossover episode. Seeing Benoist play off of Bassinger would be really awesome.
Another good episode. Its realistic that Courtney's alter ego wouldn't stay hidden for very long, and I like that they made Cindy smart and didn't have her be clueless which is a typical trope .
I'm also happy for the second season as well. Its become one of my favorite CW superhero shoes already.
